They just hate to be moved. That's it.
Choose your site carefully next time and don't try moving an established pumpkin
plant.

Subject: How can a pumpkin plant die so fast???Hello all. Hope everyone is good. I have a question. I have(had) some pumpkin plants that were really beautiful. Had about 6 leaves on them. Nice size leaves. They were in the garden and I moved them to a different spot. Within 2 minutes after moving they were wilted and dead. I had dug the hole first, dug up the pumpkin plant, plus a lot of extra dirt. Put it in the hole and filled with dirt. Watered right away and they wilted and died. Does anyone know what happened? They were out of the dirt less than 20 seconds......JudyMedford, Oregon
