Very tired from today's travels, but wanted the list to have this info right
away!
I am happy to announce that Tim Canniff, fellow Florida grower set a new
state record today with his 494.5 pound AG. Tim, as you may recall, held the
previous state record for Florida's largest with his 459 pounder in 1996.
Grown from Mombert stock, his pumpkin was safely transported to the
certified
scale and weighed with a State Ag officer present. State records will
reflect
Tim's accomplishment Monday.
I hasten to add that Tim's pumpkin was handsome, symmetrical and heavily
ribbed. Good color and slightly heavy based on chart predictions. Some great
photos were taken of this event and will be posted shortly on this list.
