Hi All,
I have started to hand pollinate my butternut squash (the pumpkins haven't
started to flower yet).
I've noticed that there are a lot of little ants crawling around in both the
male and female flowers.
Is this good, bad, or just plain ugly? Are they eating the pollen? Can they
do pollenization in the absence of bees?
I have started to masking tape the flowers shut.
Many thanks,
Josh
