It was a leaf eater...whew

When the leaf opened fully today I saw that the grubs last meal was the leaf
next to the main vein where I found it so I guess it wasnt a borer and it hadn't
eaten much. {sigh of relief}.

Is there an insectiside that I can put on young sprouts and not kill them?
