Wayne,
Fairly well I think. The 697 now has a 8-9 ft. main with three
female blossoms forming along it at 5-7-9 ft. Pretty cool huh! Hopefully all
will take and I can take my pick as we go along. The 935 you gave me should
do fine. It just needs warmer weather. Right now the main is approx. 3 feet
long with about 20 leaves. Better late than never.
Last week when it started to hit its growth spurt our temps. cooled
drastically from 88 to 70 for highs and 65 to 48 for lows. This is o.k.
though I think it may be for the better in the long run. If my blooms had
opened on the 697 by now it would be to early to pollinate. As it is with
the cool weather they won't be ready til next week and beyond. I will
probaly need to retrieve some male blooms from my friends who I have helped
get started this year. One has a Mettler 719 and the other a Mettler 974
both doing well and using Admire insecticide as well. Hopefully we will all
have something to take to weigh-off this year. Last year we all lost our
plants to those #!#### !! vine borers.
