Wayne,
Your plant (616) is about 2,5 m and have about 35-37 leaves. It seems
"happy" to grow. FYI, I planted it on the 13 may.
The first male flowers appeared about 3-5 days ago. No female.
The plant of Jim is about 2 m and have the same number of leaves. It also
began to develop male flowers about 4 days ago. I discovered a 'little'
something, which could be a female flower. It appeared at the very end of
the vine.
I'm fertilizing both plants every two weeks, no more. And tries to keep the
soil wet. I began, last week to bury the vines.
About the others:
The other Wayne-616, that one with the yellow spots is still waiting
something. It does not seems to die.....
I have another Kunde, which is very strange. It grows right up, ... to the
heaven. It looks like a chrismas tree (hmmm.... interesting idea). It seems
ok to me, has a lot of mid-sized leaves. It also developed male flowers, and
..... a female appeared yesterday. I do not think it is a good candidate for
a winner, ...
Finally, I planted 3 spare plants , two weeks after the first ones. They are
beginning to grow.
Have a nice week-end.
Oli.
