Well GB it came in an envelope saying 602 Brooks ......
Is your fruit set on your flat vine ? Or on a side vine ?
Have you cut off the tip of your flat vine ?
Yes it does look like your LD plant, but this vine is not as thick as yours.
And has just started getting strange looking this week.
Maybe we will have a Siamese Twin Giant Pumpkin Contest at Topsfield this
year.

The LD 560 Flat vine has set fruit on the flat vine. I will also be setting
fruit on side vines. I cut the flat vine a few days ago at approximately
15'. The 602 is a traditional looking very healthy plant and has appeared to
have set fruit, it aborted the first fruit set on 6/10 and set another on
6/18. It's still early, I normally set fruit between 6/20 & 7/10. I'll take
a set early though because we could go into a hot spell later and not be able
to set any in time. I can always cull them later if nee be. I will do a
more complete update at the end of the month. I'm real interested on seeing
how a Pumpkin grows on the flat vine.
Hope you grow the second biggest Pumpkin in the world this year. :-)
George
