List
We became parents this morning!!! No big to do though. Way to early in Iowa. Were looking about 14 days from now at the earliest. Shooting for around the 10th to the 20th. It was the 935 Lloyd and it has pumpkins all over it!! about 14 or so ranging from 2 open blossoms to the size of a pencil eraser!!
My 634 Andersen that started as a flat vine has since squared it self up and has been pruned to 1 regular shaped main vine . Small pumpkins (2 ) showing on main.
The 3rd plant in this patch is the 815 Andersen and it also has a little fruit on its end. Only thing is is it is as green as grass!!! Love it Bethy has wanted a squash for years and this was one of 2 plants we were hoping would produce green fruit!! All theseplants are a a plot where the well has gone bad and watering it out of the question. We were really Upset after all the work so far this year and have since secured a 2 wheeled cart that now has 2 200 gallon tanks mounted on them. The plan is to fill themup and let the water warm. Then dispatch to the plants through gravity and low pressure soaker hose.
All the reat of my plants are doing nicely with no major problems YET. The only plant that looks like it could give me is the one in my home plot. The 791 Glasier!! It is starting to hook up and is looking like the main could snap off. I'm trying to solve this problem
My 431 Carlson Has come back well from the roll over and it is the only plant not showing any fruit as of right now. This is normal for this seed!
My stumpless wonder seed (582) Is my 2nd biggest plant to the 935 Lloyd. Fuuny how those back up plants tend to be!!
The 879 Rockwell is my most massive vine. Tough plant to work with cause everything it so thick and stiff. side vines are slow growers but they also are heavy duty!! AND YES THE FRUIT IS GREEN!!!! See ya
The Carlsons Dan and Beth
