Did we ever decide if this deal was for real?! I forgot!
It seemed when we pressed the issue of "proof", the guy got quite defensive
and p*ssed off. Which brings it even more into question. Heh heh! What was
his name..."Rocky" or something? (Not our Rocky, I know!).
All I know is that if *I* grew a 1400 pound pumpkin and "didn't want to
bother" to take it to a weighoff or show it to anyone, I wouldn't go around
telling people about it expecting them to believe me, and getting mad at
them
if they didn't. BUT THAT'S JUST ME! Go figure.

Well, i think SOME of us decided that this was all a big hoax, while
others, (actually i know of only one) continues to have faith, and actually
refers to it as being a documented true 1400 pounder. AND finds it so
incredibly shocking that it isn't doing was well as other plants. Why are
you surprised?, i don't get it. This is like the biggest joke ever.
Actually, i'm just trying to discourage you from growing it, since i
am of course, and i want to be the only one, a trend setter if you will.
Right now it's at 50'long, with 40' secondaries, and i have 10 fruit set
totalling over 10,000 pounds. Gimme a break, enough with this already, IT
DIDN'T WEIGH 1400 POUNDS GET OVER IT.
