Rookie mistake!!

Last night I took longer at a friends place trying to rig up a cart for water at one of our plots. this put us behind in taking care of business at that particular patch. It got dark on us and I wasn't able to back off the wind break to our 935 Lloyd.  Today it got up to 95 and it cooked the end  or main  vine right off. It looks bad and pretty sure it is probably dead. Should have done it in the dark!! Live and learn

  What is the best spray for borers. I use sevin but I thought I read something about Meth.... something or other!!  Help???
