ALSO, another important thing for everyone to know is carry some aspirin,
(not Tylenol, the real stuff). If you feel any chest pains, take a couple of
aspirin. This has been found to be able to both prevent heart attacks if
taken right away, and also stop the progress of some attacks. It really can
help. And certainly can't hurt!

It might be an advantage to have plain, uncoated aspirin for this purpose.
The enteric-coated aspirin has a coating that is insoluble in the stomach but
slowly dissolves in the alkaline intestinal tract. When minutes count, the
uncoated variety
may provide an edge. Per my doctors suggestion, I take one of the
enteric-coated
variety every other day. The blood thinning effect lasts up to a week, as I
understand it, with its efficiency reduced daily as the blood cells are
replaced with new ones. Thus, the reason for the every other day routine.
This regimen, along with a few others, helps seniors like myself keep
participating in the great pumpkin hunt.
Today, my ribbon vine plant will go. I have run out of room. That will leave
two, both of which seem to be doing well. No pollination yet. Hoping for next
week.
We got a taste of rain yesterday and more is promised for the 28th.
