I know, it's just that I wanted to really research the genetics, and I have
been doing that for the last month or so, because I will only be able to grow
2 or 3 plants, and I have to really put work into trying to find the best
chance of getting anything really big because with 2 or 3 plants, there isn't
any room to just try stuff like I would like to. So I really wanted to do the
best I could to do genetics research. I didn't know it would take this long,
and I have been so busy with so many things, I just never had any time. I
probably am trying to do to many things, but all this stuff has to get done,
so I don't know what to do. Usually I beat myself up about it, but it doesn't
help much, just make myself more depressed. So I figure to try to look at the
bright side. There still is plenty of time to grow the pumpkins. And like it
says in Langevin's books, late started pumpkins usually catch up somewhat to
the earlier ones. We have had a lot of cooler weather early in June, so it
probably wouldn't have bought me THAT much time if I would have planted a few
weeks ago. I had some pumpkins done in 90 days last year, so I am not too
worried about being late....yet anyway!
Also one last catch was we still had problems to work out with the land to
grow on, (you probably know what happened last year!), so I didn't even know
if I would have any place to grow pumpkins until just lately.
Anyway, thanks for sending me the seed, I really appreciate it! I'll
reimburse you for postage, etc.! THANKS!!!!
