Northern Ontario - Pollinate it. and the next one and the next one and the
next one and after they get to the size of a soccer ball you decide which
ones to keep. Don't forget about stem stress. the vine should be trained in
an S shape with the pumpkins set on the outside curve of the S. When you
spot a little female pick up the vine and shape it so the little female is
on the outside of the curve. Do this late in the day when the vine is most
flexible. radius of curve should be about 2 feet.
For all you new growers - learning about stem stress gave me an extra 200
pounds that year.
