Re: About July 4th
GB,
Hey GB. WE are right on the line between 18" and 2 feet of snow
today...now thats alot of poor mans fertilizer. I've seen a few mentions of
0-0-60 on the group postings. Potassium chloride (Muriate of Potash) is a
common component of granular fertilizer. It is usually the red grains that
you see in the fertilizer bag. A note of caution about it. 0-0-60 has about
the highest salt index, or potential to burn, of any granular fertilizer. It
is 3 to 4 times as strong as the Potash levels in regular granular mixes.
Pile this stuff on and your plant may get burned.....everything in
moderation. GB wasn't involved with the 0-0-60 thing, I just attached to his
letter.
P.S. GB, we are having a grafting party on April 7, hugh's coming down I
think. We have 450 Dwarf rootstocks on the way!!
