It depends on a few factors. How the plants are responding to the
heat, how many hours are expected at 90+ for that day, how many days
in a row this type of heat has lasted and is expected to last, etc.
When I first start to experience this type of heat the plants do fine.
Once it becomes prolonged is when the misters will come into play.
Turning them on during the peak time when the sun is hitting them the
most, and leaving them on for a couple of hours. Maybe longer
depending on the weather conditions. I cannot leave the misters
running all day when the temps is above a certain point. I do not have
that much money. :) Most of the season the temps are above 90 and a
lot of the time the temps are in the upper 90's to low 100's. Last
year for example one of the days I planted, last week of April, the
temp was 97.
