Michael,  Most California growers start their
seeds indoors aprox. April 25th to May 10th
......depending on their micro-climate.
Some of the hotter areas will even start
germination at the end of May.
As soon as your seed has germinated,
plant it in your patch within a few days
otherwise it will become root bound.
Allow 600 to 1000 sq. ft. (or more) of growing
space per plant.
