I have WPC newsletters going back to 1988 and at that time nobody
listed what seed their pumpkins had been grown from. My quess is that they
have bought seed from Howard or Ray on the basis it was from a fruit of a
certain weight i.e. over 400lb or over 500lb with no specific parentage
mentioned. They may have used seed from one of their own grown from a Howard
or Ray seed and being that far back in time they have not recorded
information as we all do today.
