K-Mag and Vegetables, Doug, Don't know if this will help, looks interesting tho. Roger

Title: K-Mag and Vegetables

THE PERFECT COMBINATION FOR SUPERIOR CROP PERFORMANCE
A unique combination of potassium, magnesium and sulfur — nutrients to boost vegetable yields and your profits.

Vegetables
Choose K-Mag For Better Quality Vegetables
Improve your nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer efficiency using the balanced combination in K-Mag of highly available sulfur, potassium and magnesium.

Potash (22%) helps your crops' root systems develop, while keeping them strong so they can stand up to disease and weather. It also lends a hand in the formation of sugars and starches and helps nutrients move through the plant.

Magnesium (11%) helps plants produce chlorophyll and absorb phosphorus. It gives plants strength and builds resistance to drying, insects and spray damage.

Sulfur (22%) helps your vegetables' initial root growth while promoting early fruiting. The sulfur also helps synthesize essential amino acids for plant proteins.

Improve Your Crop And Profit Potential With K-Mag
Growing better vegetables starts with proper soil fertility. You need soil rich in crop nutrients available year after year. To grow a tomato crop that yields 600 cwt., you'll need approximately 25-30 pounds of magnesium and sulfur per acre. And that's where fertilization comes in. From planting to picking, a strong fertilization program can make the difference between profitable yields and average harvests.

That's why so many vegetable growers depend on K-Mag. From cabbage to onions and turnips to broccoli, K-Mag delivers what you want most, the very best 3-in-1 nutrient combination to improve yields and your profits.

Easy Application
K-Mag is also easy to use. Since it's 100% water-soluble, it keeps working for you throughout the growing season. What's more, you can apply K-Mag directly or with other fertilizers. Base the application rate on your vegetable crops' needs, soil test results, research data, your own experience or your particular yield goals. Typically, you'll apply 200 to 600 pounds of K-Mag per acre. The table below shows you how much potassium, sulfur and magnesium K-Mag delivers at three different application rates. No matter how you apply it, your vegetables always receive the perfect combination for success.

K-Mag Application Rates
Rate (lb/a)
Nutrients Supplied (lb/a)
  K2O Mg S
200 44 22 44
400 88 44 88
600 132 66 132

Three Quality K-Mag Grades
K-Mag Granular (22% K2O, 11% Mg, 22% S) is a naturally-occurring crystalline mineral that can be applied directly or used as a raw material in fertilizer blends. With a typical SGN of 240, it's often used as a source of potassium, magnesium and sulfur in bulk blend formulas.
K-Mag Premium (22% K2O, 11% Mg, 22% S) is a homogeneous, granulated high-quality product. Benefits include less abrasiveness, lower bulk density, more uniform particle size and a higher SGN number (247), which increases its compatibility when blended with other fertilizer materials.
K-Mag Standard (22% K2O, 11% Mg, 22% S) has a typical SGN of 95 and is primarily used for direct application. It's also a key ingredient in many granulated fertilizers and is an excellent source of non-chloride potassium, water-soluble magnesium and non-acidifying sulfur.
