I know Eric the pumpkins parents in NZ

At last I have tenderly trodden my way to Eric the New Zealand Pumpkin and
found the label giving his parents. He is an Emmons 538  X Armstrong ???. I
reckon that Eric is up to 500 pound and maybe a NZ record if there is no
other. I will have to wait and see. Only eight sleeps to go. Whakatane weigh
in tomorrow. Tracey Wilson is back in Kawerau on the volcanic plateau and
has organised a weigh off for April 8th, the same as us here in Hawera. Not
too sure about Kaiapoi in the South Island. I will be able to get hold of El
Presidento tomorrow (which is your the day after tomorrow!!!!).

I heard rumour of a real whopper over seven foot across - the bloke swore
blue that it was true. On inspection it was about three feet across. I blame
either Jack Daniels or a lifetime fishing!!!!

The target this year is the Aussie record of 286 Kg (629 pound).
