Re: Preemergence

Doug  I have heard of a few growers trying it with not much success. what works well for me is to mulch with compost. first I till the area in which I will be planting then I till around the plant as it grows I mulch with compost this seems to work well. once or twice a week I hoe around the plants where I see any weeds just lightly scraping the surface so not to disturb the roots of the pumpkin. Don't till to close to the plants about 2-3 feet a way I suggest. It would be great if we didn't have to weed. best of luck mark.

Subject: Preemergence

Hello,
does anyone know of a Preemergence that can be used on AG's  without hurting them. I have a lot of weeds in my pumpkin patch.
