I think horse manue needs to be composted as well, lots of urine as well as takes alot of nitrogen to break down.. A fellow grower uses it heavily on his patch and has yellowing in mid summer. Think any kind of manure should be mellowed and composted and tested before using. After swithing to a new patch I no longer use any of my turkey manure. Its just too much, unless I let it sit. Its one of those things where a little is more and the ramifications down the road. Just my thoughts. I have been putting on municipality compost every year, works very well. Down to my last 449. Got hooked after my buddy Jon ( Hunt grew the 991) and two years ago blew a fruit up 19" bigger than that of Jon's at 30 days. You don't have any others around? Would send you some of my 842 and 717 ( 723 bobier X 940 Mombert 98, 723 X 801 Stelts.
