1994 Top Pumpkins
The year 1994 was a banner year for official giant pumpkins.Don Blacks world
record--the "884 Black 93" was shadowed by 4 over 900 pounds with the "990
Bax 94" becoming the new WR.

Comments--the AG "center of gravity" seemed to hover somewhere in New
York,Quebec and Ontario in 1994,with six in the worlds top ten.I notice that
in recent years the C of G.has wandered towards the west,across
Pennsylvania,Ohio and now is (temporarily?) lodged in the Washington-Oregon
area.Any speculation on what 2002 will bring????

squash from all past years on the CHR.Of the 5 indicated above,their
importance to our present gene pool are ranked as follows:

It is always worthwhile to look at past years.We have a tendancy to think
next year will be like the last year but history shows that every year is
