Dear list,

I am a first time grower without a garden, but I have a
chance to get about 100 yards of soil that was created when
a contractor stripped sod from a construction site and put
it in a big pile where it composted for 3 years.  Now it
looks like nice rich soil to a novice like me.  Does anyone
have any idea if this will provide a good base?  Any idea of
any challenges it may pose? deficiencies?

Also, I have some pretty green manure (generated in October
by dairy cows).  Should I add it in right away?
