Re: squash vine borers
Mike,
You may have Vine Borer and your neighbor (down the street) may not. You
will not know until you plant a pumpkin (squash / cucumberit type) plant,
then it may be too late. It doesn't really matter what area of the country
you are from. That's why it is a good recommendation to use the Warrior T
or Scimitar as a preventative (before you know you have Vine Borer). I have
struggled many years with trying to control the Vine Borer and lost many a
good pumpkin (in the middle of August when they are really growing) due to
the secondary problems brought on by the Vine Borer (weakened plant,
disease, etc.).
