Powdery mildew is a fungus, exterior fungus that penetrates a little in the
leaf structure. The ratio of potassium or sodium bicarbonate is 1-2 % in
water with another 1-2% of summer oil. You should spray it once every two
weeks in late July-mid Auguest and once a week during late
Auguest-September. Soluble seaweed at the end of each other irrigation like
foliar spray it said to help us a lot. Also to have the patch completely
clean of weeds is very helpful I mean, under the pumpkin plants and around
them too. But all the previous are just preventive, if the fungus gets to
extend on the plant, you have to look for a sistemic spray like benlate,
quadris...
