   It's always better to do a premptive strike on PM, especially if the 
fungicide is only a protectant rather than a curative. Daconil is a 
protectant to the best of my knowledge, so you might be better to put that on 
just before you expect problems. Daconil or Bravo is still an excellent 
fungicide for a faily wide spectrum of diseases. Some spray programs rotate 
Quadris, Bravo(daconil),and Nova ,Quadris, Bravo, Nova. With a commercial 
grower, if you apply numerous applications it can also drive you into the 
poorhouse. Quadris has some curative properties so you can get away with 
waiting until the early signs of PM shows up. Two or three applications may 
keep your leaves nice and green....but it won't leave much green in your 
pocket. Quadris is a curative , but it can't bring back foliage that is 
severely damaged byPM.
