Quick questions to all the cool climate growers...

I'm looking at ways to keep my soil warm this spring. We grow in Manitoba and
it is difficult to keep soil temps up in May and June.

I'm interested in placing poly (clear plastic) down as I have seen some other
growers do. The question is though... Where do I place it? Over the mound?
Do I keep rolling it back as the main vine grows? Is it more important to
concentrate on keeping the main root warm or should I pay just as much
attention to the roots along the vine?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
