growing under trees

Growing under a tree is better than not growing at all. Just remember, less sun means smaller plants and small fruit. Many a pumpkin growers have started the season under a tree and have later become so fanatical, that they had that tree removed mid-season. If you are serious about pumpkin growing, rip that baby out :)
