RE: pumpkins DIGEST V1 #262


For California growers near the coast I recommend putting the seeds in the pots the first week in May.  Be sure to keep the soil temperature in the pots near 85 degrees.  I would also recommend that you use a seed starting mix not straight peet moss as the seed starting medium.
