Hi-  can u tell me more about "timed overhead watering" ....
I am trying to get set up for this season.

Last year I hand watered  with sprayer on hose but it was a continual problem
.  determining how much water I delivered to plants
.  mixing any soluble fertizer or food into the sprayer

(I have soakers but for some reason don't use them)
I don't know about drip tapes

appreciate your thoughts and suggestions

Brian,
   Timed overhead watering will cool your plants. Spray every 30  minutes
allowing foliage to dry in between watering cycles. Usually you would  spray
from 11:00 am till 3:00pm. I have done this for years. Doesn't hurt the
plant.
