Matt, last year was my first and what I used then, I'm going to use this
year. What I used was approx. 4x6" type of "jiffy" pot and I started two
seeds in each. when transplant time came around, I cut the pot in half and
set them in the ground. I also made some verticle <sp> cuts on the pots. They
didn't seem to suffer any shock and I assume,beside my blunders, that they
all would have been in the 400lb range.
Wall-Mart has these little three-piece starter kits that I used. I used the
bottom and the clear plastic top. I could fit 4 of the above mentioned pots
in it and the clear plastic top acted like a greenhouse. This worked out real
good for me, last year anyway! Good luck, Steve
