Duncan & The Pumpkin Group,
I do not know if you would grow square pumpkins with the refrigerator box
method, but everyone, please do not apply "Sunscreen" to your pumpkin. I
was only ribbing Duncan. Sunscreen, Bullfrog, Coppertone or other brands
have never been tried on pumpkins and would most likely damage or ruin your
pumpkin! I apologize if I have misled anyone, but again I was just teasing
Duncan, do not apply Sunscreen to your pumpkin!
Sincerely
Chris Andersen

Hi Everyone,
To add some color to this subject, here in California we all have
abandoned our pumpkin shelters and resorted to BullFrog
(SPF 40), apply twice a day, it keeps the skin supple and won't allow your
pumpkin to burn. Much easier than the Refrigerator method! Be careful of
the coppertone, it tends to have to much oil and will result in an early
poolside burn!

How about simply covering with a refrigerator box and just cutting some
air holes on the side.
Sounds like your a pro all ready...... I hope it doesn't rain.
