I had a bad weekend......................................................
its a long story so I'll keep it short.
When I discovered the blossom end rot I cut out the bad bits, coated the
fleshy bits with pepper
(my pumpkin doctors advice) covered the hole with a plastic disc and covered
the area with melted wax.
Then when the stem was snapped off I covered that with wax also.
Will it survive for two weeks?
When I feel better I might write more.

I have had good luck cleaning the area then treating with powdered Sulfur if
it is close to harvest, (less toxic). If it is earlier in the season I use
a strong Fungicide. Blossom end is tough, it is the thinnest part of the
Pumpkin. Good luck.
