I will let those who want to manage the list do so by there email flame
wars. As the OWNER of this list, even my recommendations are criticized
without truly understanding what I am trying to say. This mailing list
has been a very frustrating for me to manage. This mailing list is not a
universal mailing list your Internet Server Provider (ISP) provided you
for signing on. This mailing list was created by an internet user who
feels their could be an interest of discussion about growing large
pumpkins. I provide a yearly fee to manage this mailing list and it
needs to be managed when the owner feels the posting are getting out of
scope. Being a owner of a mailing list is not simple, fun or rewarding
but many times frustrating. From what I see,
some of you want to post what ever you want because you like reading all
your email posting.... pumpkin related or not
some of you want to read only pumpkin related posts without all the
chat.
The first option is what we currently have now.
The second option is monitoring the mailing list. I can do this, but
what is required is I review every posting that is submitted and I
decide what is submitted to the mailing list. If I feel it is out of
scope, then it would not be posted. This process is a lot of work me
but it is a standard process which is conducted on several mailing list
which I belong to. So you can post and say what you want but it could
never be submitted to the subscribers
In conclusion,
I give up... and I will let the controllers control the list the way
they want it to be...
