We don’t need two lists, because in a way, we already have them. If some
people enjoy everything that’s posted, let them stay with the List. If
others don’t, there is the option of switching to the Digest. 

The advantage of the Digest is there is just one, rather than 20
messages, to deal with. We can delete all Digests as they come in, and
do all our reading in the Archives, which are very nicely organized by
thread, date, and author. Additionally, the Archives are a great
research tool.

And you can post from the Archives, as I'm doing now.
