Excuse me but truly..

Sorry for sounding a bit harsh Duncan but I truly believe you should go
ahead and take the reigns of your pumpkin list and shape it the way you
intended and still want it to be. It is a GREAT service for all growers.
What would we do without you? I know that censorship was not the right
word but it is spoken out of frustration, being faced with a list that
is in need of being redefined or simply in need of remembering why it
was originally created. Those of us with a different idea as to what
pumpkins are all about are left without clearly knowing whether we
belong here or not. So we stick around because we find the experience of
this form of communication important and sustaining, angering those who
think such conversation to be "cyber-drivel."  I don't see why you
should feel the obligation to be everything to everybody. Not possible.
Trying to be could very well undermine the brilliant conception of this
list. Those who think differently will find a home for their ideas I
have no doubt. I think we will eventually see that both camps are
important to the sport of giant pumpkin growing, and to each other. What
we don't need is to undermine each others contributions to the sport.
