There is a distinct form of pumpkin literature, already well shaped,
hiding within the archives of the pumpkin list. I am not referring to
the technical information of which we are all aware but of the exchange
of humor, philosophy, absurdism, heartbreak and other expressed insights
into the human condition mirrored in the relationships to our pumpkins.
There is a book primed and ready to be plucked from these dusty
forgotten archives. I suggest we call it,
CONVERSATIONS WITH A PUMPKIN
Maybe our friend of PUMPKINS ARE ORANGE could be the editor if he would
be so willing. I believe the book, if properly edited, could have a
wider appeal then most pumpkin books because of the shared nature of the
human experiences that are only slightly disguised and hidden behind our
gigantic fruit.

I think this important enough to get the spelling right. Without
Duncan's list, in a free and open forum, and the attached archive, this
pumpkin literature could never have been recognized.
