To Whom It May Concern:
These incessant postings about what this list should or should not be is
a MUCH worse offense, in my opinion, than some pumpkin poems, jokes, and
general banter. Can't we just get back to enjoying each other's company
and stop this monotonous self-analysis? I've been on this list for
almost 2 years and it has never been this bad.
I personally appreciate Duncan's organization of the list, but I feel
that the subscribers should hold themselves responsible for creating the
culture on any given list. Up until recently that culture has been
friendly, supportive and even jovial -- but the list is losing that
flavor in a serious way, in my opinion. When it stops being EITHER fun
or informative I'm gone. This will be my one and only posting regarding
the culture of this list. Any further commentary on this subject by
me, if any, will be in the form of unsubscribing.
