Pumpkinguy,
I wouldn't feel too bad i think that thats good advice ....i wouldn't plant
two plants of anything there are always a good amount of duds in every
cross except .....a Mombert 567.5.................I think the 697 is just
like all seeds, like the 449, 559, 490donkers , 1006, 887orr,
923,915,990,910 914, 963,975..the list goes on.....they pop a few great
ones and the rest are duds........some don't even pop a great
one.............not much has changed its a crap shoot.........If Chris
Andersen wasn't away he might try and pick up these seeds up as his 815
last year received the least of his care......for me I like the background
genetics of the 697.....plus i love a good auction.........brock

V.B,
You are right, even the 567 is a crap shoot, but it has by far the best
odds. I'm thinking about a Donkers 490.....now there's a crap shoot. Maybe a
946 , one of John Castellucci's and a MacDonald 726. Last year when I was
coming out of the shoot with a 697 and a 612 Ciliberto, I was feeling good and
ended up bad. Maybe this year, I feel a little shakey and will end up O. K.
