Growers,
Well here we are, one month away from the greatest year ever in pumpkin
growing history. The sun is out here and the temps have hit 68, 71, 70 the
past three days. The PNWGPG meeting was a whole lot of fun and excitement is
brewing for a new unofficial weighoff on October tenth in my home town of
Canby. At least 10,000 dollars in prize money will be available, so make your
reservations now. We have all been watching the list for what everyone is
going to plant, and what new ideas to try, and it is nearly time to show our
cards, I can't wait. The patch is getting ready now for final preperation,
and here is the rundown...
Site 1--- Ready to go, tilled and no weeds, soil temp is on the rise, and it
looks good. I will plant my fourth top seed choice here.
Site 2--- Needs one more tilling and weeding. My 6th pick will go here.
Site 3--- Ditto, except for the 5th pick goes here.
Site 4--- Tillin and weedin, 3rd pick goes here.
Site 5--- Ditto, this will be my number 1 picks home.
Site 6--- Just a till job away from holding the #2 pick.
We shall see how the auction goes as to the starting line up.
Take Care,
Brett The Pumpkinguru
