Dan,
plants wilt to shut down evaporation.... the stomata close so water is
retained................my hunch is it is heat that triggers this
response......as i have watered heavily and plants still will wilt...on a
hot day......so anything you do to cool the plant works.............i have
been doing some test with shade cloth ...my peppers doubled croped last
year......i planted them early pick all ripe ones off and then cover the
area with shade cloth the set a whole second batch.......so there
something interesting here................brock
