Cation exchange capcity............the best way to improve your soil cec is
by adding humus........
usually sandy soils are low in cec which mean that the soil leaches these
positively charged cations like Calcium,potassium, magnesium......on the
other hand clay soils tend to have higher cec sites or holding
ability......you will have to fed you plants regularly.....brock
