Is it safe to put lint from my dryer trap
into the compost pile?

Bryan,
I would guess that the dryer lint is mostly fiber strands from the clothes
you wear. If you wear all cotton clothes, you would have cotton lint. If you
wear polyester , you would have some plastic lint mixed in. Plastic gets a
black eye because it doesn't break down rapidly. As far as hurting your
plants, I would doubt it. Plastic for the most part is inert, meaning it won't
react with most things. If you are an avid composter, one might say there are
traces of soap , dyes and other chemicals in it. If it bothers you, throw it
in the garbage, but a little lint in the compost pile won't
hurt..........probably won't help either.
