Hello, to everyone. My name is Brad Walters. I live in Greenwood, Indiana.
For the past three months I have read everything I can get my hands on about
raisng giant pumpkins. I have also been in touch with and received advice
from one of indiana's top growers Joe Miley. He has been a lot of help as
well as a good source of seeds.
I have one pressing dilemma at the moment. I have been trying to adjust
my soil ph since late january. Fortunately, the weather has been warm enough
to play in the dirt. My ph is 7.7 . As soon as I found out it was that high,
I added 1.5 pounds of elemental sulfur per 100 sq. ft. Recently I had the ph
checked again. It has not changed. Should I use different soil ? I have
access to some different top soils which I am having tested now. I can bring
in new soil by the truckload if necessary. I only need enough for two plants
since that is all I have room for
please help,
th
e rookie, Brad
