Dr. Hack & Mr. Biggest in the World 97,
Here in Richmond, VA we have problems with high humidity. Maybe I should
sprinkle my pumpkins or maybe not. My banana squash developed lesions that
would heal and erupt again. If I put it in a warm moist environment, won't
it
be worse?
Was the problem fungal, viral, bacterial or just a figment of my imagination?

Pat,
You may have virus down there, but misting will not cause it to be any
worse. Keep the insects in check with a once a week spray or whenever necess.
If disease is a real problem down there, I would spray Bravo ( aka Daconil)
once a week at the highest label rating. Be sure to spray the pumpkin and stem
thoroughly....the leaves don't need as much. Let the plant dry out between
waterings and you should be O.K.
