The larger the thin walled fruit is, the lighter it will weigh out, and the
more fragile it becomes. These issues are very important if you plan on
transporting the pumpkin any distance at all (even moving it from the field
might damage it), or participating in any weigh offs.

Out of curiosity, why do you purposely want to grow a thin walled Atlantic
Giant? We strive for weight, color and shape, not size, per se. Some growers
are crossing their pumpkins with squash to achieve hybrid vigor, that is, to
maximize genetics to improve the size and density of their pumpkins.

Anyone else have anything to add?
