Dear Barb;
My interest began when my neighbor called the pumpkins I was
growing for my grandchildren peas, compared to another neighbors GP which
I had never seen before. When I seen it, I was hooked. ( By the way I had
never gardened, before trying these pumpkins) Last year was my first year which
my health and a plant disease set my plants way back.
I later found out that my former boss of 30 years is the man to beat
in P.E.I. as he grew a 748 lb at Windsor, N.S. last year.
My results last year after bothering Al Eaton nearly on a daily basis
were 1- 414, 1- 360 in tack, two more split. Seven place @ P.E.I. contest
and third
place novice.
Yes I will be growing this year, I have to upset Clifford to be top's
