Bill,
You can pick-up a ph test kit at any garden store.......they are very low
cost. If in fact you have acidic soil, lime will definitely bring up the
ph to a neutral state of 7.0
Remember that ph is on a log 10 scale. For each point or number, it is
actually 10 times as worse, not 1 time. So plenty of lime is needed to
bring the ph up. Work it into the soil well. Vegetables like 6.6 to 7.1
