Manure amounts

Hello all, I seem to be always wondering how much manure should be
used, per plant, to be successful growing a giant. How much should be
used spring time during tilling? After plant has started growing, how
much is used? Do you dress the surface or dig it in? I hear about
truck loads being delivered to a patch. I can get as much manure as
needed, but don't want to harm the plant. If anybody would care to
share their views it would be appreciated. Thank you! Can't wait to get
started!
