Happy99? Not me...

It has been implied by at least one public message on this list that I
had something to do with the recent Happy99 virus/worm/Trojan horse
debacle.

For the record, I did not.  I received the file like many of the rest of
you apparently did.  The sender was someone unknown to me.   I wrote the
list and added my warning to others that were already there.

This is the first time I have ever offered to distribute a file to any
group on the web.  I sent out about 100 copies of the Pacelli photo.  I
have no personal stake in the story, no personal knowledge of Rocky
Pacelli.  I have not even spoken to him on the phone as some of you
have.  Distributing this photo was more trouble than it was worth to me
personally, but I knew everybody on the list was curious and would enjoy
seeing the thing and forming their own opinions.

Because of  the sender of Happy99 and the individual who implicated that
I had something to do with it, I will think more than twice before
offering a service like this again, if I ever have the opportunity.
